The Xylem/Evoqua Quality Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Holland, MI campus operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all manufacturing activities. This position owns local quality management for the fabrication of water filtration equipment, including laser and saw cutting, welding, painting, and final equipment assembly.
Working closely with the Senior Quality Manager and the Holland, MI Operations Director, the Quality Manager helps drive key business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. This role collaborates daily with cross-functional teams across the Holland site to proactively support quality needs, resolve issues, and strengthen operational excellence.
This is a fully on-site position based at the Holland, MI campus. Standard working hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities: Two direct Reports
Data & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report Customer DPD (Defects per Delivery), Supplier PPM (Parts per Million), COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), & NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
Team: Lead and manage a team using the MDI (Manage for Daily Improvement) process, providing guidance, feedback, and support
Root Cause Analysis: Champion the 8-Step problem solving process
Customer Focus: Understand customer needs and incorporate feedback into processes
Non-Conformance Reporting: Manage the NCR process
Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and lead root cause analysis
Drawing Improvement: Partner with Engineering to track and resolve drawing improvements (ECMs)
Quality System: Design and implement quality procedures and standards
ISO 9001: Manage and lead ISO 9001 audits, and other certifying registrars
Documentation: Maintain Quality records, reports, and procedures
Quality Checks: Implement any relevant Quality checks and measures (PPAP, etc.)
Quality RMAs: Manage Quality customer returns
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve Quality
Culture: Exemplify behaviors to be inspired to innovate, empowered to lead, and accountable to deliver

Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering or Science field required
ISO 9001 or equivalent experience required
5+ years of Quality Manufacturing experience required
5+ years of Quality Management experience preferred
Certifications an advantage including Certified Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, and/or Six Sigma Green Belt

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
