    Responsibilities

    IT Software Developer, I

     

    Works as part of a development team in the design of software applications. Conducts requirement analysis, documents technical specifications, and writes, reviews, and debugs code. Recommends product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback. Develops and maintains documentation or user manuals. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

     

    Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.

     

    This is an Entry-Level position in the General Professional track.

    Working with a Scrum team composed of individuals of varying backgrounds (UX designers, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Business Analysts), as part of a team to develop or maintain PeopleSoft and third party integrations. The successful Developer will have the ability to work on small to large projects from troubleshooting, development, analysis and testing.

     

    The position requires some days each week working in the office as defined by management with optional work at home when not required to be in the office and occasional Saturday work (1 or 2 times a year) for upgrades.

    Minimum Qualifications

    **EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :** 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

    Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
