As a **Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Patrol** in **Birmingham, AL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will actively monitor and patrol the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the retail or mall environment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for any unusual circumstances.

+ Observe and report on the conditions of the location, promptly documenting and escalating any security-related concerns as appropriate.

+ Offer assistance and guidance to visitors, tenants, and employees, addressing inquiries and providing directions as needed.

+ Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other urgent situations according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must be able to ride a bike.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
