    The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms.     Job Summary

    Collaborate with and learn from experienced Product Engineers in our Electro-Optical & Infrared Systems line of business. Our Summer Internship Program offers a full-time, paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a culture defined by friendliness and teamwork at DRS. What sets us apart?     Job Responsibilities

    + Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers

    + Compete assigned tasks on time

    + Gather and assemble data for engineers

    + Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers

    + Assist engineers with appropriate design details

    + Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices

    + Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Must be actively enrolled in a 4-years undergraduate Engineering degree in EE, CS, or SWE.

    + Have completed at least 2 years of college and be at least a Junior or Senior at time of application with a 3.0 GPA or better.

    + Strong communication and organizational skills.

    + Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity.

    + Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks.
