As the Business Unit Manager for Fluid System Division’s Irvine business unit, you will lead all aspects of the unit’s operations, driving consistent and profitable growth aligned with the Corporation’s WIN Strategy.
You will be responsible for managing the full Profit and Loss (P&L) performance for the $600M business, optimizing operational effectiveness and fostering a business unit culture of continuous improvement.
You will develop world-class manufacturing operations through standardized processes and a highly engaged workforce. In addition to an internal focus on operational excellence, a close collaboration with customers is essential to anticipate their evolving needs and market trends, ensuring our products and services consistently exceed expectations.
Scope of Responsibility
+ Lead and motivate a diverse team across multiple disciplines including Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development.
+ Fully support and partner with the Division General Manager.
+ Serve as the primary business unit representative to internal corporate leadership, customers, trade associations, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
Essential Functions
+ Deliver consistent, profitable growth by executing the business unit’s strategic plan and operational goals, with a clear focus on margin growth and revenue expansion.
+ Lead and manage change initiatives across the business unit, effectively guiding, coaching and encouraging teams.
+ Foster premier customer service standards, working closely with current and prospective customers to promote and leverage Parker’s technologies and capabilities.
+ Lead strategy deployment with a focus on Lean initiatives, strategic pricing, and procurement to optimize operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and financial performance.
+ Develop, manage, and adhere to the business unit budget, ensuring financial discipline and accountability.
+ Monitor and respond to competitive market dynamics within the geographical area of responsibility.
+ Drive a high-performance culture by promoting teamwork, coaching, mentoring, talent development, and accountability throughout the organization.
+ Ensure full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Actively promote the business unit’s reputation and capabilities within industry forums, trade associations, and the broader community.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing or a closely related high-volume manufacturing environment, with a strong track record of driving business results, margin improvement, and revenue growth.
+ Demonstrated expertise in leading change management initiatives, successfully guiding teams through organizational transformations and process improvements.
+ Deep knowledge of management and marketing principles, industry practices, and competitive landscape within aerospace.
+ Proven expertise in business and operational processes including proposal development, contract negotiations, program management, budgeting, and acquisition processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve results through effective delegation, problem solving, and strategic focus.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $201350 to $352350 annually
+ Participation in Annual and Long-Term Incentive Programs
