What You’ll Do
+ Design and develop innovative, cloud-scale infrastructure systems that power tomorrow’s enterprise solutions.
+ Lead technical problem-solving and hands-on implementation across the full stack, from hardware to distributed software components.
+ Tackle deep challenges in performance, security, scalability, reliability, and multi-tenancy.
+ Collaborate with exceptional engineers in a dynamic, inclusive environment that values continuous learning and diversity of thought.
+ Mentor and support fellow team members, shaping the technical direction of OCI’s core services.
What We’re Looking For
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
+ 5-8+ years of experience building and operating highly-available, distributed cloud systems.
+ Advanced knowledge in at least one modern programming language (Java, C, C++, C#, Go, or Python).
+ Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, data models, networking, security principles, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
+ Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and working across the spectrum from networking to distributed persistence.
+ Experience in building and scaling public cloud services—and a passion for learning cutting-edge technologies.
+ Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with container orchestration, virtualized environments, and Agile/SCRUM development practices.
+ Proficiency with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and deploy large-scale, distributed cloud infrastructure systems that meet high standards for reliability, performance, and security.
+ Lead technical architecture discussions, influencing key design decisions and setting direction for engineering best practices.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable cloud services.
+ Drive the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues across the entire technology stack (from hardware to application layer).
+ Mentor and guide engineers at all levels, fostering knowledge sharing, skills development, and technical excellence within the team.
+ Ensure adherence to modern security protocols, data privacy standards, and compliance requirements throughout the software lifecycle.
+ Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend means to improve system performance, reliability, and automation.
+ Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from conceptualization and design through implementation and deployment.
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation to support new system features, operational processes, and architectural decisions.
+ Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and iterative product improvement.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
