    _What Commercial Technologies Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health_

     

    NPHS Commercial and Pharmacy Technologies manages the NPHS Business segment's portfolio of commercial and pharmacy focused technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the user experience.

     

    This role serves as a liaison between the business and IT to align support strategies and capabilities, also providing technical specifications to IT related to issues. This job family identifies and analyzes product needs, defines requirements, objectives, and participates in the solutions making process. This job family optimize business processes by leveraging the functionality of the technology and product solution.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 virtual support to the organization's end users

    + Support software, hardware, warehouse technology, server, network, and enterprise systems issues.

    + Respond to escalated issues from the IT Service Center and Tier 2 Support,

    + Resolve user requests through discussions with users, coordination with internal and external resources, research via access to source code and access to an application database.

    + Provide education and trainings to users to facilitate knowledge transfer and prevent problem reoccurrence.

    + Maintain support related documentation for certain end user platforms, monitors environments, responds to alerts, and addresses service outages.

    _Qualifications_

    + 4-8 years of experience, preferred

    + Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

    _What is expected of you and others at this level_

    + Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

    + Some experience in the following: Software development (preferably Java/SpringBoot); Querying SQL databases for research and support related functions; Application monitoring and alerting (Dynatrace, GCP)

    + May contribute to the development of policies and procedures

    + Works on complex projects of large scope

    + Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

    + Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

    + Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects

    + Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

    + May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

    **Anticipated salary range:** $94,900 - $149,160
