Job Title: Android Developer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team responsible for managing all aspects of application development for Android devices, including phones, tablets, Fire Tablet, and FireTV. The role involves working on applications that allow users to search for and stream content on mobile devices.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements and conduct analysis to determine integration needs.
+ Design new software, support applications under development, and customize current applications.
+ Assist with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
+ Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products.
+ Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and offer guidance on practices, procedures, and techniques.
+ Serve as a mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
+ Work with Product and Quality Assurance teams to ensure alignment with technical requirements.
+ Display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the specified engineering specialty.
+ Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
+ Exercise independent judgment and discretion consistently in all tasks.
+ Maintain the existing app by managing legacy code, fixing bugs, and making performance improvements.
+ Develop new features for the application.
Essential Skills
+ 3–5 years of experience as an Android Developer.
+ Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
+ Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Studio.
+ Familiarity with JIRA and GitHub.
+ Experience working on major video streaming apps (e.g., Hulu, Max, Peacock) is ideal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience using GH Secrets / Keystore tools to secure API keys.
+ Understanding of the pros and cons of MVVM architecture.
+ Knowledge of CLEAN architecture and its implementation.
+ An onsite interview for the second round is required for this role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
