Patient Access Representative

Job Description:

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join the Main Admitting team. This role will support patient intake, insurance verification, and assist with patient transport to various departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent customer service, and experience working in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Greet and register patients upon arrival

+ Verify insurance coverage (HMO, PPO, Tri-Care, Medi-Cal, Medicaid)

+ Assist with patient intake and scheduling appointments

+ Provide administrative support and accurate data entry

+ Coordinate patient transport to different departments

+ Utilize Epic for patient records and registration

Required Skills:

+ Patient access and registration

+ Medical terminology

+ Insurance verification

+ Customer service

+ Data entry and scheduling

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with Epic (highly preferred)

+ Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Tri-Care, Medi-Cal, and Medicaid

+ Strong organizational and communication skills

This is a Contract position based out of Tarzana, CA 91356.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
