    Job Title: Cable Technician

    Workplace Type: On-site

    Schedule: Monday–Friday (10-hour days), Saturday (8 hours); must be open to both 1st and 2nd shifts. Overtime may be required.

     

    Pay Rate: $22–$28/hour

     

    Placement Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

    About the Role

    We are seeking experienced or entry-level Cable Technicians to join our team in New Albany, OH. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in the rapidly growing data center industry with a fast-growing, award-winning technology integrator.

    Responsibilities

    + Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to TIA/EIA standards

    + Assist with RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations under guidance

    + Perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks

    + Support cable testing using tools such as Fluke or EXFO under supervision

    + Learn fiber cable handling and dressing

    + Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow safety protocols

    + Take direction from experienced technicians and supervisors

    Requirements

    + Prior labor experience (construction, warehouse, or similar) with good tenure

    + Strong attendance and positive attitude

    + Ability to pass BGC and drug screen

    + Comfortable working overtime and Saturdays

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 20 feet

    Nice to Have:

    + Experience with structured cabling or telecommunications

    + Familiarity with cable installation and termination

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
