    About the Role

     

    We are seeking experienced Compliance Underwriters to perform compliance reviews within TRID 3.0 and TRID 1.0 scopes, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements. This role involves compliance underwriting, due diligence, portfolio analysis, and compliance review projects.

     

    As a Transactional Employee, work is assigned on an “as needed” basis and may vary depending on client demand. While full-time hours are expected most of the year, we cannot guarantee a 40-hour workweek. Flexibility is key.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Review and capture loan data from mortgage documents (e.g., Mortgage, Note, Loan Estimate, Closing Disclosure, Good Faith Estimate, 1003, appraisal).

    + Analyze settlement fees for state and federal testing.

    + Evaluate disclosure processes for timing, delivery, and completeness.

    + Identify compliance irregularities within loan files.

    + Manage workflow to meet daily volume and quality goals.

    Essential Qualifications

    + Required:

    + 1–3 years in residential mortgage industry with familiarity of origination documents.

    + Experience reviewing TRID loans originated post-10/3/2015 (Scope 1.0 and/or 3.0).

    + Strong knowledge of TRID documents and compliance testing.

    + Ability to review notes, mortgages, applications, appraisals, and title documents.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Preferred:

    + 1+ year of compliance review experience.

    + Competitor experience in compliance underwriting.

    Work Environment

    + Remote: Must have a quiet, productive workspace and hard-wired internet connection.

    + Equipment provided (dual monitors, thin client, keyboard, camera) or use your own.

    + Communication via Outlook and MS Teams.

    Schedule

    + Flexible start time: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM EST.

    + 8-hour workday with punch-in/out system.

    + Overtime and weekend work available during peak periods.

    + Breaks and lunches per state regulations.

    Training & Performance

    + Two-week training on proprietary platform (not underwriting training).

    + Exit exam required (80% or better).

    + Ongoing performance measured by loan quality and turnaround time.

    Education

    + High School Diploma/GED required.

    + Associate or Technical Degree preferred.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $64480.00/yr.

They are required under ACA to qualify each plan year based on hours worked and must average 30+ hours during lookback period to qualify for the next plan year.
