    Eaton’s Electrical Sector America is currently seeking a Advanced Manufacturing Leader - Data Centers. This is a new role due to business growth that can be based at our Eaton facilities in Raleigh, NC or Moon Township, PA. Relocation assistance is available for individuals currently residing in the USA. This role also offers a hybrid working schedule of two days remote and three in office.

     

    The Advanced Manufacturing Leader is responsible for investigating, conceptualizing, and recommending manufacturing solutions for prototypes, as well as developing comprehensive footprint plans to enable full series production. This role actively engages with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and divisional leaders to accelerate production readiness. In addition, the Advanced Manufacturing Lead serves as a strategic leader and visionary, delivering rapid prototyping and industrialization expertise for Minimal Viable System (MVS) within the Direct Current portfolio for the Data Center segment.

     

    This position collaborates across organizational boundaries with divisional and global product line R&D and Operations to create innovative and efficient manufacturing solutions for rapid prototyping up to TRL and MRL 6, and acts as a subject matter expert for industrialization and the transfer of design into manufacturing. The Advanced Manufacturing Lead is expected to provide leadership across multiple advanced manufacturing engineering initiatives that support organizational growth, integrated capacity planning based on demand, and partner with senior leadership to develop strategy and implement the direct current manufacturing technology roadmap.

     

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

    What you’ll do:

    + Lead with influence to direct and manage multiple value streams in the manufacturability of the rapid design cycles, high level capacity planning to deliver an integrated operations build plan for customer pilots.

    + Provide leadership for rapid prototyping deliverables including implementing new processes, manufacturing sites including contract manufacturers to efficiently build and iterate designs and prototypes.

    + Develop and execute manufacturing technology roadmaps and coordinate the manufacturing strategy and footprints for the Direct Current for Data Centers solutions

    + Participate as the key member of the DC4DC System Team in senior leadership meetings specifically to ensure alignment of divisional requirements with Global Enterprise and Ops Leaderships.

    + Lead the development, procurement, and validation of prototype and if applicable coordinate with key stakeholders on production tooling, fixtures, equipment, and processes

    + Create new processes and framework to bridge agile methodologies (rapid prototyping) with Design for Six Sigma and Design for Manufacturing for rapid prototyping (Manufacturing Readiness Level 4-7).

    + Collect and analyze early product and process performance data, using applicable Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing approaches.

    + Work in partnership with Eaton’s Manufacturing Engineering Leader to align advanced manufacturing strategies, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across sites.

    + Support rapid prototyping and model shop/test lab integration for DC4DC initiatives, ensuring prototype builds and validation are aligned with program timelines and a member of the Decision Gate Committee (DGC).

    + Collaborate with supply chain, sourcing, and engineering teams to ensure seamless transition from prototype to production and knowledge retention across project phases.

    + Collaboration with global project teams across different cultures is required.

    + Support rapid prototyping, model shop, and test lab integration for DC4DC.

    + Drive adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, digital thread, and automation in line with Eaton’s strategic initiatives.

    + Will play a key role in knowledge retention and transfer, ensuring continuity from concept through production.

    + Flexibility needed for meetings outside traditional working hours due to global project scope.

    Qualifications:

    Basic (required) Qualifications:

    + Bachelor of Science in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited university.

    + Ten (10) years of experience driving manufacturing improvement initiatives including rapid prototyping capabilities, process optimization, and cost effective solutions.

    + Five (5) years of experience implementing new product & technology development leveraging stage gate approach; preferably complex, vertical integrated system design and industrialization projects.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Previous experience in the electrical or industrial or automotive products manufacturing industry

    + Experience in Industry 4.0 tools and processes

    + Experience in Six Sigma, Lean, and/or Problem Solving Methodologies such as Shainin Red X
