Job Summary:
Completes patient check-in and check-out processes, warmly greeting patients and verifying demographic and insurance information. Schedules additional appointments as needed and reviews requirements for referrals or authorizations, obtaining necessary information when applicable. Secures additional medical records, reports, imaging, and other documentation requested by providers or staff. Utilizes computer systems efficiently to support daily operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of secretarial/clerical experience required. Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc), and experience with Medical Data Base systems for patient registration and scheduling preferred. Previous Ambulatory experience preferred.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday / Day shift
