LEO is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The LEO fulfillment team is looking for an exceptional Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team and drive operational improvements across our program. This role will engage directly with functional leaders (technology, engineering, supply chain, EHS, QA, etc.), operations managers, and associates to constantly raise the bar for processes in our warehouse spaces. This Sr. TPM will also focus technology development and integration as we introduce automation technologies into our warehouses. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement: you love streamlining processes and you love sharing your approach with others. You use data to identify process defects and drive improvements at scale. You enjoy launching programs from the ground up and are at your best when you are inspiring others to drive improvements in their areas every day.
Key job responsibilities
• Work across the LEO organization and partner with other Amazon teams to drive improvement in the LEO warehouse spaces as well as for downstream manufacturing operations related to kit consumption. This may include identifying pain points, developing KPIs, leading improvement activities, and driving business change.
• Develop new processes and systems, driving standardization and adoption across multiple warehouse facilities, including planning, initiating and managing process changes.
• Drive process improvements applying lean thinking and data-driven performance management to eliminate waste and drive process stability.
• Use visual tools (value stream mapping, spaghetti diagrams, etc.) to map processes.
• Create robust metrics and analyzing large data sets to enable data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence, sharing your knowledge with employees ranging from associates to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Bachelors degree or 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Consumer Electronics industries
- Experience using project management applications - Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, Asana, etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
