About Amazon Manufacturing Services
Amazon Manufacturing Services is an internal Amazon service specializing in the production of high-quality 3D-printed components and machined parts. We serve design engineers, product developers, operations engineers, and retail product concept testing.
Key job responsibilities
- Conduct product inspections of precision machined and 3D printed components using a micrometer, microscope, optical comparator, gauge pins, caliper, etc.
- CMM and measurement arm program creation and verification.
- Disposition nonconforming product, conduct root cause analysis, and help manage CAPAs.
- Help lead the internal audit program.
- Perform capability/gage R&R studies and other data analysis.
- Continuously improve our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Assist in reducing in-process and final inspection time.
- Works with production on priorities and daily inspection plans
- Assigns inspection duties to the Quality team and ensure on time delivery.
- Responsible for FAIRs, inspection reports, PPAPs, etc.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of software QA testing work with writing the test plans, use cases, and issue reports experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment working in a quality role.
- Experience in GD&T application and drawing reading.
- Experience with inspection equipment.
- Experience programming and operating high tech inspection equipment such optical comparators and CMMs.
- Experience performing internal audits to AS9100 and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.
- AS9100D lead auditor certification Proficient in SolidWorks
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) methodology and tools experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $73,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
