Description
The HR Business Partner – Field Support & HR Systems serves as a strategic and operational partner to field leadership, providing hands-on HR support to stores and regional teams while driving consistency, efficiency, and scalability across HR processes and systems. This role acts as the primary HR point of contact for Store Managers and Regional Directors, delivering real-time guidance, operational support, and system expertise to enable effective people leadership and store execution. In addition, the role partners closely with HR Operations, IT, Store Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to support HR technology platforms, project management initiatives, and workforce-related operational improvements that strengthen field performance and the overall employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Field HR Support
+ Serve as the primary HR partner to Store Managers and Regional Directors on employee relations, including performance management, investigations, corrective action, and separations, providing real-time coaching on policy interpretation and documentation standards.
+ Support workforce lifecycle processes across the field, including onboarding, offboarding, recruiting process adherence, and early-tenure issue resolution to ensure a consistent employee experience.
+ Partner with field leadership and Benefits on ADA accommodations, FMLA, state leave programs, return-to-work considerations, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
+ Collaborate with Compliance, Benefits, and HR Operations to resolve field issues, support day-to-day HR operations, and identify trends or risks that inform training, process improvements, and policy updates.
HR Systems, Technology & Ops / IT Liaison
+ Serve as the primary store-facing HR lead for HR technology platforms, including UKG, HRIS, and related integrated systems.
+ Own HR-system support for the field, including issue intake, troubleshooting, escalation management, and resolution tracking.
+ Partner with IT, HR Operations, and Total Rewards on system enhancements, integrations, testing, and optimization efforts.
+ Ensure effective system utilization through clear guidance, documentation, and field communication.
+ Support data accuracy, access controls, and system governance in partnership with HR Operations and IT.
+ Act as the HR liaison for operational technology initiatives impacting scheduling, timekeeping, workforce management, or store execution.
HR Document Repository & Knowledge Management
+ Build, manage, and maintain a centralized HR document repository for store and HR teams, ensuring version control, accessibility, and ease of use.
+ Ensure HR resources, including forms, templates, job aids, and training materials, are current, organized, and aligned with operational needs.
+ Partner cross-functionally to keep policies, SOPs, and HR resources updated and clearly communicated to the field.
+ Improve knowledge management practices to reduce field confusion, repeat inquiries, and reliance on ad hoc support.
Store Operations HR Support – LP & AP Partnership
+ Serve as the HR liaison for Store Operations initiatives, ensuring alignment between HR processes, systems, and store execution.
+ Support Store Operations leadership on projects impacting workforce efficiency, scheduling models, or HR system workflows.
+ Partner with Loss Prevention and Asset Protection teams as the HR representative on matters involving employee conduct, operational risk, and investigative support.
+ Ensure documentation, process flow, and HR involvement are consistent, fair, and aligned with established HR standards.
HR Project Management & Cross-Functional Support
+ Manage and standardize HR project management processes, ensuring prioritization, visibility, and accountability across HR initiatives.
+ Develop and maintain HR project tracking tools, timelines, and reporting to support execution and leadership visibility.
+ Serve as the HR liaison for store and enterprise project committees, ensuring people, process, and system impacts are identified and addressed.
+ Provide guidance on HR deliverables, milestones, and dependencies within broader company initiatives, particularly those involving Ops, IT, or field execution.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
+ 4-6 years of HR experience with emphasis on policy & compliance, leadership coaching, and entry-level employee relations support.
+ Experience partnering with AP/LP or Security teams during internal investigations preferred.
+ Working knowledge of employment laws (ADA, Leave, EEOC, Wage & Hour, State Specific Laws).
+ Multi-state employment law knowledge preferred
+ Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
+ Ability to handle sensitive situations with neutrality and professionalism.
+ SHRM-CP or PHR preferred but not required.
