OVERVIEW:
Summer interns will complete a 10-week internship located full-time on site in Middletown, CT. Liberty Bank is proud to host a dynamic and diverse internship program designed to cultivate the next generation of banking and finance professionals. Through this immersive internship, participants will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned professionals, contribute to real world projects and develop essential skills that will prepare them for successful careers in the financial services industry and beyond!
SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
This internship will rotate between our Treasury Management Services and Deposit Operations Teams. The Deposit Operations intern will learn investigative skills to research disputes and analyze financial transactions. They will also gain an understanding of service and support within our Treasury Management team. Through this work, the intern will broaden their understanding of the banking industry and related processes and systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Analyze financial transactions and assist in quality control to ensure accuracy
+ Accurately and efficiently performs balancing and reconciling tasks
+ Process incoming and outgoing mail requests
+ Become familiar with products and services, via training and shadowing
+ Provide reports and daily/weekly status of assigned tasks
+ Communicate effectively across departments and business lines to understand both processes and policies.
+ Provide prompt and courteous customer service to all internal and external inquiries
+ Support the teams on department-wide projects and perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Preferred candidates to be majoring in Finance or Business Administration.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Office
+ Proven analytical skills
+ Proven critical thinking skills
+ Strong organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ General Office Equipment
+ Keyboard Dexterity
+ Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
+ Ability to travel.
