Join Our Team as a Respite Companion!

Are you passionate about the senior population and making a real difference in their lives? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a part time Respite Companion to join the Respite Companion program.

+ Salary: $16.50/ hour

+ Schedule: up to 6 hours per week

+ Location: Garden City, NY (This role will be remote but local to Nassau County).

What drives the core purpose of this job:

To provide "time off" for the caregiver of a home-bound elderly person.

What are the key responsibilities:

+ Participate in orientation and in-service workshops.

+ Provide supervision and companionship on an individual basis to elderly persons.

+ Assist care recipient with everyday routines such as eating, walking and light exercise.

+ Submit records and time sheets on a timely basis.

+ Report any problems which affect service to the Sr. Director or Program Coordinator.

+ Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.
