    Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Mid-Level Quality Systems Specialist- FOD and Tool Control** to join our team located in **Berkeley, MO.**

     

    Join our team as a Mid-Level Quality Systems Specialist in Berkley, MO, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining high safety and quality standards through an effective Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and tool control program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to significantly impact workplace safety and quality. As the selected candidate, you will contribute to developing new processes, techniques, and standards that align with organizational objectives. You will serve as a recognized subject matter expert within the Quality department, providing insights and guidance, and lead initiatives to drive culture change by adapting approaches and styles to suit different audiences and situations. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with senior leaders and operations-focused individuals, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Manage quality assurance processes related to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and tool control.

    + Provide guidance in the review of manufacturing and quality procedures, including FOD/tool control requirements.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies by conducting assessments of processes and practices against applicable standards. Analyze and interpret data and provide feedback on assessment results to maintain adherence to policies.

    + Lead the analysis of complex problems using process data, metrics, models, and flows, and involves the development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.

    + Gather and validate data to identify the root causes of common problems.

    + Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development.

    + Identify opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk.

    + Collaborate with various organizations to develop strategies, plans, and metrics to achieve business objectives.

    + Works under general supervision

     

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

     

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + 3+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).

    + 3+ years of experience developing presentations for leadership.

    + 3+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.

    + 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    + 3+ years of experience managing or leading a team, with the ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

    + 3+ years of experience with data analysis or data mining.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + 3+ years of experience in project management, including developing and supporting project plans through the full project lifecycle.

    + Experience working in a cross-functional environment with strong communication skills for interacting with leadership, internal and external customer representatives.

    + 3+ years of experience implementing lean principles

    Travel:

    This position may require up to 25% domestic travel

    Shift:

    This position is for 1st shift

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

     

    Summary pay range: USD $88,400 - $119,600
