As the Traffic Group Lead located in our Atlanta office, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation across the South Atlantic region. From Georgia to Louisiana, you’ll lead a dynamic traffic and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) team focused on delivering innovative traffic engineering and ITS solutions that keep communities moving safely and efficiently.
As the group lead for traffic and ITS in the South Atlantic states, you will:
* Drive strategic growth of Jacobs’ traffic engineering and ITS services across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
* Partner with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities and develop winning strategies for transportation projects, including roadway, bridge, traffic, and environmental services.
* Provide oversight and guidance on complex traffic engineering and ITS projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with state DOTs, municipalities, and regional transportation agencies.
* Mentor and empower a multidisciplinary team of engineers and planners to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
* Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
* 15+ years of experience in traffic engineering and ITS, with proven leadership in business development and project delivery.
* Strong knowledge of traffic analysis tools, ITS technologies, and DOT standards.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
* Traffic design, construction, and operations experience with departments of transportation, planning, transit, and/or municipal agencies
Ideally, You'll Also Have
* Traffic safety experience with DOTs, city, and counties including registration as a Road Safety Professional1or higher
* Project management experience with large($10M+) programs with DOTs in the Georgia market
* Deep relationships with primarily DOT clients in the Southeast US
