    Join Jacobs as a Director of Business Development and you will have the opportunity to drive the growth of our environmental business with key clients in Houston and across the Gulf Coast region. Your focus is to make sure that Jacobs dominates the environmental market for Houston-based energy and industrial clients.

    * Bachelor’s degree in the environmental sciences or equivalent related work experience in lieu of a degree.

    * 20 years of experience in the environmental market sector.

    * Proven track record of winning environmental work from Houston based clients.

    * Existing executive level contacts and strong relationships with energy and industrial clients in the region.

    * Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a market growth strategy, develop leads, vet opportunities, respond to RFPs, and coach interview teams.

    * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead sales team, coach/mentor and motivate the team, reach within Jacobs to offer best-in-class solutions, manage commercial and legal negotiations, and close deals.

    Ideally, you’ll also have:

    * Exceptional skills in both written and oral communication.

    * Technical background/experience in delivering or managing largeenvironmentalprojects or programs is considereda positiveand adds credibility in consultingand remediationindustry service offerings and delivery.
