    UPMC (Pittsburgh, PA)


    The General Maintenance position manages the upkeep of the hospital complex and supports all Facility Management crafts.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Perform small carpenter jobs.

    + Remove snow and ice.

    + Maintain associated equipment.

    + Perform specific preventative maintenance procedures.

    + Remove graffiti.

    + Assist any Facility Management Personnel as directed by the Manager.

    + Perform a variety of routine tasks which can involve any mechanical/electrical equipment or systems.

    + Assist in the moves of people and equipment.

    + Make truck pickups and deliveries as need dictates.

    + Clean ceiling vents, shop, machine room, roof drain and helps with outside grounds in an emergency.

    + Maintain current knowledge of safety procedures within the hospital and department.

    + Record time and materials expended.

    + Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs.

    + High school diploma.

    + 2 years of general maintenance or related experience.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Driver's License
