    + Schedule: Weekdays, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (five 8-hour shifts)

    + Location: UPMC Shadyside - MRI Department

    What You'll Do

     

    In this role, you'll support our technologists and imaging staff in providing exceptional patient care and high-quality MRI services. You'll play an important role in creating a safe, comfortable, and efficient experience for every patient. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

     

    + Greeting patients as they arrive, assisting with paperwork, and answering questions.

    + Escorting patients to dressing areas and helping them prepare for their exams.

    + Conducting MRI screenings to ensure safety before entering the scan room.

    + Assisting with patient transfers and positioning under technologist direction.

    + Establishing IV access and helping prepare oral contrast as instructed.

    + Monitoring patients during exams and providing discharge instructions.

    + Performing basic equipment checks, cleaning exam rooms, and transporting patients as needed.

    + Supporting technologists with daily and weekly quality control (QC) testing.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + At least one-year of previous healthcare experience.

    + Medical terminology and recent medical/imaging office experience preferred.

    + IV insertion experience preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Act 34
