As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will architect, design, integrate, and validate various interconnected, advanced aerospace systems spanning communications management functions (CMF), Flight Management Systems (FMS) and other mission-critical systems on various avionic platforms. You will lead major work packages, coordinate across hardware and software teams, and ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements. You will be recognized as a technical expert and decision maker on key programs.
Key Responsibilities
+ Responsible for providing technical expertise as a team leader or member on a variety of projects and programs
+ Uses expert knowledge of Systems Engineering discipline and Honeywell standards, processes, and tools in order to complete and ensure compliance of various projects.
+ Own system integration and verification at the product or system level.
+ Own system-level requirements, ensure compliance through traceability.
+ Support both internal and customer facing technical review
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and operational efficiency
+ Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements
+ Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10%
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical fields.
+ 6 plus years of Systems Engineering experience.
+ Proven experience in datalink communications systems.
+ Must be a United States Citizen due to contractual requirements.
WE VALUE
+ Deep knowledge and experience with ARINC 664, CPDLC or FANS datalink communication systems.
+ Experience with Aerospace, Airsim, Multisim, MATLAB, Teamcenter, DOORS, JIRA
+ Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (ARINC, MIL-STD-1553, CAN)
+ Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software.
+ Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
+ Ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
+ Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
+ Diverse thoughts and ideas; and experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers.
+ An understanding of data and networking structures, protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
