Job Description
Under supervision of the Director of First-Year Experience, the Administrative Coordinator I supports the Office of First-Year Experience by providing clerical assistance such as scheduling meetings, monitoring the office’s budget, assisting with hiring processes for student and professional staff/faculty, and event planning.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, office hours or programs.
+ Assists in the monthly reconciliation process.
+ Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing policies or operating practices.
+ Develops administrative and technical procedures as needed.
+ Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
+ Assists in monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
+ Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries.
+ Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events, and may provide on-site support.
+ Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.
+ Supports the student administrative staff in the Office of First-Year Experience.
+ Manages the Office of First-Year Experience front desk and clerical duties.
+ Attends monthly and bi-monthly budget and HR meetings.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
+ Two (2) years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft suite.
+ Ability to multitask, work cooperatively with others and prioritize tasks.
+ Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Planning and organization skills.
+ Experience with office management.
