Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Ability to identify and independently resolve problems.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
+ Skill in communicating and establishing rapport with internal and external constituents.
+ Knowledge of general university policy and procedures.
+ Ability to set priorities and manage heavy workload.
+ Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must be a current Texas State University employee or Texas State University student worker
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree with additional consideration for those that possess a Masters degree
+ Previous collegiate facilities and event management experience as a full time employee.
+ Previous experience with event promotion and planning.
+ Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Job Description
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Athletics Intern for the Texas State Athletic Department. This position will assist with the management, administration, and supervision of Texas State athletic facilities and event operations. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
Job Duties
This position will assist with coordinating operations of events held in athletic facilities and assist in the management, administration and supervision of Texas State athletic facilities, and game operations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
+ Planning and coordination of facility rentals, direct game day operations of athletic events.
+ Assist with developing, implementing and monitoring the schedule for all athletic facilities.
+ Manage internal and external camps.
+ Position will require candidates with the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
+ Bend, reach, twist, and lift up to 75 pounds.
+ Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
+ Other duties as assigned.
