Work location: Texas Health Allen - 1105 N Central Expwy, Allen, TX 75013
Work hours: PRN-weekday shifts are 0700-1730, some weeknight and weekend call shifts are available as well.

+ Our STEMI response team is also available around the clock to promptly treat patients experiencing acute heart attack and other urgent cardiovascular needs.

Here's What You Need
+ Associates Degree in Applied Science required _Or_
+ Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required - Must obtain RCIS within 6 months of hire required _Or_
+ High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
+ 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred.
+ ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required _And_
+ GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred _Or_
+ RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required upon hire (ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if graduate from a Cardiovascular Accredited Program) _And_
+ LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist If RCIS Only Upon Hire preferred _Or_
+ RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only Upon Hire required _And_
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
What You Will Do
Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing
* Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
* Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
* Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS
* Coordinates with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
Patient Care
* Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions
* Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
* Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging
* Administers contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines
* Processes patient information, displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
* Adjusts technical factors
* Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards
* Exchanges and maintenance of film badges within designated time frames
* Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of quality control and regulatory standards
Professional Accountability and Partnership
* Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement
* Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email in a timely manner
* Manages time and re-prioritizes as necessary
* Performs any assignment deemed necessary by supervisor
