    Work Hours: Full-Time; Day Shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm

    Qualifications

    Here's What You Need:

    Education

    High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

    Experience

    1 year of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or Institution Required OR

     

    commiserate education and/or experience Required.

     

    Licenses and Certifications

     

    FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Required.

     

    Skills

     

    Reading, basic math, written language in English is required. Understanding of safe food handling and quality standards of food products. Basic computer skills required. Good communication and organizational skills to exercise independent judgment. Basic knowledge of food budget and ability to adjust costs accordingly.

    What You Will Do:

    Purchase items based on vendor contracts and par levels utilizing computer. Fully understands CMAs. Purchase highest quality for the value. Maintain/update order guides as necessary.

     

    Monitor and collaborate the surveillance and/or security of the food and supply inventory.

     

    Monitor expenditures for budget compliance.

     

    Inspect delivered products against established standards; rejects products not meeting those standards. Reads and understands invoices; knows procedures for obtaining credit from vendors for discrepancy in invoicing.

     

    Consults with Supervisors, Managers or Directors and vendors, as appropriate, on inventory management. Maintains appropriate record keeping.

     

    Monitor the requisition, distribution and inventory of products. Report variances to Director/Manager.

     

    Maintain storeroom and refrigerator areas to meet all standards for food safety and sanitation. Follows proper hand hygiene.

     

    Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
