Summary
This position is responsible for the proper performance and efficient operation of the following functions: Inbound Receipt of Goods from Customers internal and external, accuracy of inventory and compliance with regulations associated with GMP, Transportation and Import/Export.
Essential Functions
+ Receive inbound shipments for internal and external customers both domestically and internationally.
+ Complete all receipt documents, post in ERP system and move to appropriate warehouse location as needed for further processing.
+ Fill inventory stocking requests for residual returns production floor as needed.
+ Ensure accuracy of inventory in stocking locations by verifying quantities on hand, completing cycle counts and batch reconciliations.
+ Properly move and store inventory to maintain good housekeeping and clear areas timely to reduce congestion and maintain segregation. Verify storage and segregation is in compliance with procedures, take actions necessary to mitigate risks.
+ Ensure training is completed on time and all certifications are up to date.
+ Propose work instruction and process improvements that can impact efficiency, material flow, etc.
+ Perform projects as assigned by Materials Management.
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
+ High School or Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
+ 1-3 years of experience in a Warehouse Environment with responsibility and accountability for inbound receipts,
+ Working knowledge of dangerous goods transportation and handling.
Competencies:
+ ERP system (SAP – Oracle or equivalent)
+ Knowledge of GMP, DG, IATA, DOT, IMDG
+ Good communication skills (Oral and Written)
+ PC skills with ability to learn quickly and has demonstrated performance in attention to detail
+ Forklift Certification
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
This position reports to Material Management supervisor in Port Allen, LA. but will also work closely with Demand planning, Manufacturing, production and Quality departments.
Working Conditions:
Majority of work will be in a warehouse environment.
