The Network Engineer / Network Services Consultant will serve as a key member of the IT Infrastructure team at the Goodyear Tupelo Manufacturing Plant, responsible for delivering professional, hands-on technical support across our Cisco-based Network and Telecommunications infrastructure. This intermediate-level role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the plant’s network environment—including LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, and data center systems—with an emphasis on Cisco technologies.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, technical excellence, and a proactive approach to network reliability and innovation. This role requires close collaboration with both local operations and enterprise IT teams to ensure high network availability, support for manufacturing systems, and alignment with business priorities.
What** **You’ll** **Do
+ Provide tactical support and operational oversight for the plant’s LAN/WAN/Wireless/Telecom/Data Center infrastructure.
+ Partner with enterprise and plant-level teams to implement andmaintainsecure, scalable, and reliable network solutions.
+ Act as a networking subject matter expert, offering technical consultation and strategic recommendations tooptimizesystem performance and cost-efficiency.
+ Support real-time plant floor operations and ensure seamless connectivity for production-critical systems.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including support for IT and OT environments, PLCs, HMIs, and other industrial control systems.
+ Lead and support infrastructure projects, including upgrades, implementations, and lifecycle planning.
+ Maintain documentation, diagrams, and network inventories in alignment with corporate standards.
+ Provide 24/7 availability for critical plant support, as needed, including during scheduled outages or emergencies.
What** **We’re** **Looking For
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.– _In lieu of a degree,_ _8_ _+ years of relevant IT experience will be considered._
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco products and technologies.
+ Previoushigh-touch plant/manufacturing experience
+ Proficiencyin Layer 2/3 networking, VLANs, wireless networking, and VoIP systems.

+ Proven experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and unified communications.
+ Familiarity withPLC and HMIcontrollers, and experience supportingmanufacturing control systems or OT/ICS networks.
+ Solid understanding of cybersecurity practices as they relate to industrial environments.
+ Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL framework is a plus.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Knowledge of plant safety practices and commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
