Job Location: Dallas, TX This position can be based in Hershey, PA or Dallas, TX * Summary:* The Senior Manager, Data Products is responsible for building, scaling, and operating enterprise-grade data products that serve as trusted, reusable assets across Hershey’s business domains. This role ensures data products are technically strong, well-architected, governed by design, and adoption-ready, enabling consistent analytics, reporting, and decision-making at scale. This is an enterprise leadership role, not a project or reporting function. The Senior Manager sits at the intersection of data engineering, architecture, governance, and business domain expertise, and is accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle of data products — from intake and design through delivery, certification, and ongoing operations. The role leads domain-aligned data product teams and partners closely with Data Platform Engineering to ensure products are built using scalable patterns, shared infrastructure, and enterprise standards. The role also works hand-in-hand with Data Operations & Enablement to ensure data products are properly documented, certified, and supported through governance tools, metadata, lineage, and quality processes. This ensures that data products are not only delivered, but are trusted, discoverable, and consistently used by the business. * What we are building for Hershey: * This role is foundational to Hershey’s long-term data strategy. The Senior Manager, Data Products helps build a portfolio of durable enterprise data products that become the system of record for analytics, reporting, and future AI use cases. These products are designed to be reusable across functions, scalable across domains, and governed by design — reducing duplication, improving trust, and accelerating decision-making. By establishing strong product ownership, technical rigor, and operational discipline, this role ensures Hershey’s data assets evolve from one-off deliverables into long-lived, business-ready products that support growth, efficiency, and innovation across the enterprise. * Summary of Major Duties * * Enterprise Data Product Strategy & Ownership: Define and own the data product roadmap across assigned domains; ensure products align to enterprise architecture, standards, and business priorities. * Technical & Architectural Leadership: Ensure data products are designed for scale, performance, security, and reuse; partner with Platform Engineering on patterns, pipelines, and data models. * Delivery & Operations: Lead execution of data products end-to-end, including backlog prioritization, delivery planning, release management, and ongoing operational support. * Governance & Quality Enablement: Ensure data products meet governance requirements (definitions, lineage, certification, quality) using enterprise governance and catalog tools. * People Leadership & Domain Partnership: Lead and develop product managers, analysts, and engineers; partner closely with business domain leaders to ensure relevance and adoption. * Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: * * Strong technical depth in data engineering, analytics architecture, and data modeling * Experience building enterprise-scale data products, not one-off reports or dashboards * Ability to translate business needs into scalable data product designs * Deep understanding of data lifecycle management, from ingestion to consumption * Experience working with data governance platforms (catalog, lineage, quality, certification) * Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across engineering and business teams * Ability to manage complex delivery portfolios and dependencies * Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: * * Education:* * BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field * Advanced degree preferred but not required * Experience: * * 8–12 years of experience in data, analytics, or engineering roles * 5+ years leading data products, analytics platforms, or data engineering teams * Experience in CPG, manufacturing, or complex enterprise environments preferred * Leadership Competencies * Enterprise thinking and systems mindset * Strong technical credibility with engineering teams * Ability to drive clarity, structure, and execution discipline * Comfortable operating in ambiguity and scaling immature domains * Strong partnership mindset with platform, governance, and business teams #LI-AM1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
