What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or emergencies to the appropriate personnel.

+ Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and members of the public while enforcing site-specific rules and regulations.

+ Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and other security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.

+ Document all activities, incidents, and observations in written reports as required by Allied Universal and the site.

+ Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay current with security-related procedures and emergency response protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

+ At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
