    CNC Swiss Machinist

    **Location:** North Haven, CT

    **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    **Pay:** $18–$27 per hour, depending on experience

    **Type:** Temp-to-Hire

    About the Role

    Our client in North Haven is looking for a CNC Swiss Machinist to join their growing team. While experienced Swiss machinists are strongly encouraged to apply, the client is also open to training candidates who have strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in learning Swiss machining. This role involves operating and setting up Swiss CNC machines to produce precision parts while maintaining tight quality and safety standards. It’s a great opportunity for someone who is hands-on, eager to grow, and looking for a long-term career path.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate and set up Swiss CNC machines according to specifications.

    • Perform machine adjustments, including tool changes, collet changeovers, and guide bushing adjustments.

    • Inspect parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes).

    • Monitor machines in operation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

    • Maintain tooling, fixtures, and accurate material traceability.

    • Perform manual deburring, mass finishing, and cleaning of parts.

    • Accurately document work and enter data into computer systems.

    • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

    • Follow all company and safety policies.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of CNC operating experience preferred; Swiss machining experience is a plus.

    • Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn will be considered for entry-level training.

    • Ability to perform setups and adjustments is preferred.

    • Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

    • Proficiency with precision measurement tools.

    • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively.

    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

    • Pay range: $18–$27 per hour based on experience.

    **Pay Details:** $18.00 to $27.00 per hour
