Job Title: Scheduling CoordinatorDepartment: Perioperative Services Location: Unity Hospital Hours Per Week: Per diemSchedule: M-F, 5:15am - 1:15pm or 1:15pm - 9p. Shifts may be shorter depending on volumes. SUMMARY:Inpatient and outpatient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and co-pay collection.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Demonstrates accurate scheduling of all inpatient and outpatient appointments/procedures.
+ Completes the pre-registration process by collecting accurate patient demographic, insurance, and co-pay information.
+ Performs insurance verification using PCEasy, Quicklink, Omnipro and calls Commercial Insurance companies to identify co-payments and initiate referrals to the hospital financial counselor.
+ Interfaces with referring offices for accurate scheduling of procedures and/or pretesting appointments via telephone and fax.
+ Coordinates patient information mailings.
Desired Attributes:
+ HS Graduate or equivalent preferred
+ Two years health care experience in the area of secretarial, registration, medical billing, and insurance verification preferred
+ Medical terminology
+ Strong computer skills

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
