Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field to join our Finance Transformation team as a full-time intern in a hybrid role located in Providence, Rhode Island. The internship will run from May/June to August, with the possibility of extending. This role offers exposure to various functions within the Finance team, including internal management reporting and analysis, corporate support, and data management.
Principal Activities and Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to identify, design, and implement technology-driven solutions that enhance financial processes, reporting, and analytics.
+ Support automation initiatives using tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel, helping to streamline manual tasks.
+ Identify, plan, and execute potential machine learning or AI processes and tools.
+ Participate in projects focused on data integration and dashboard development.
+ Assist with the evaluation and rollout of new digital tools and best practices across the Finance organization.
+ Engage with transformation liaisons and stakeholders to gather requirements, document growth areas, and propose innovative solutions.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, through the adoption of automation and predictive analytics.
Qualifications
+ Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
+ Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL).
+ Italian language proficiency a plus.
+ Strong interest in business processes and digital transformation.
+ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with large volumes of data.
+ Well-organized, with effective communication skills and a strong desire to learn.
+ Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week during the summer, with the possibility of extension into the fall/spring semester at a minimum of 12 hours/week.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation for this role is $24.00. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
