    MAPFRE is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as **Assistant Vice President (AVP), National Material Damage Claims** . This role is responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across our multi-state Material Damage claims function. You will lead transformation initiatives, champion a customer-first approach, and develop a high-performing team dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and equitable claim outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and execute the strategic vision for National Material Damage Claims operations in alignment with corporate goals.

    + Oversee all aspects of claims operations across multiple states, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

    + Lead vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage performance for DRP shops and appraisal firms.

    + Drive innovation through automation, digital tools, and AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.

    + Champion customer experience by ensuring empathy, transparency, and responsiveness at every touchpoint.

    + Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team, fostering engagement, diversity, and succession planning.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

    + 10+ years of experience leading multi-state Material Damage operations.

    + Strong knowledge of regulatory environments, auto body industry trends, and DRP agreements.

    + Appraiser license(s) strongly preferred; I-CAR Platinum certification required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

    + Proven ability to lead strategic transformation and deliver measurable results.

    **Pay Philosophy** : The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at MAPFRE are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

     

    Salary Range $185,000 - $225,000
