    Hours per Pay Period: 0.50 = 40 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)

     

    Starting Wage DOE: $35.34 - $44.18

     

    The Registered Nurse (RN) in this program is responsible and accountable for providing a continuum of evidence-based expert nursing care to the members. The RN provides a key point of contact with the health system for all members. This contact ensures timely access by eliminating barriers to services and programs for Billings Clinic's major donors, recognizing their philanthropic financial support to the organization. The RN works professionally, discreetly, and collaboratively with the member/family, physicians, leadership, and various other members of the care team. Advocates and intercede on the patient's behalf to ensure exceptional care through each contact with medical, nursing, and technical staff involved in the care. Areas of practice are highly multidisciplinary and multifaceted, requiring open and responsive communication to meet the members' needs.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Demonstrates expertise with Code of Conduct and compliance policies and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.

    • Demonstrates expertise in establishing and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with program members, physicians, leadership, and staff to maximize patient outcomes.

    • Develops a collaborative plan that is medically appropriate, timely, and acceptable to the member.

    • Coordinates and schedules all medically related appointments, including diagnostic testing, procedures, physicians, and other care team members in collaboration with the member and or family.

    • Communicates and explains the rationale for diagnostic testing and planned treatments, and coordinates care for the member across the healthcare continuum.

    • Facilitates members' participation in all decisions concerning care and advocates on their behalf as appropriate in a variety of healthcare settings.

    • Bridges knowledge gaps through utilizing teachable moments to educate on up-to-date medical and health information.

    • Aims to reduce the patient's anxiety and stress while enhancing their ability to follow through with appointments and prescribed care.

    • Ensures each encounter with the member and family addresses and exceeds the member's expectations.

    • Accepts accountability and participates in critical thinking and problem-solving issues related to high-quality patient care outcomes.

    • Recognizes potentially critical situations, takes appropriate action, and escalates as necessary.

    • Embraces change and continuously identifies opportunities for improvement by demonstrating a commitment to utilizing evidence-based practice.

    • Shares knowledge and acts as a professional resource to colleagues and other members of the healthcare team.

    • Contributes to the professional growth of peers by providing feedback through coaching and evaluation.

    • Demonstrates exceptional commitment to patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA.

    • Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.

    • Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.

    Experience

    • Minimum of three (3) years of recent clinical nursing experience within a hospital or integrated health system required.

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized, patient-centered care and coordinate services across departments and specialties.

    • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support complex patient needs preferred.

    • Prior experience in care coordination, patient advocacy, or customer service-focused nursing strongly desired.

    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism in all interactions.

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple demands.

    • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.

    Certifications and Licenses

    • Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain prior to start date; must be in good standing.

    • Montana Driver's License At hire Requires current Montana driver’s license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles.

     

    Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
