As a **Security Guard - Healthcare Facility Screener** in **Escondido, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, including sensitive environments such as the hospital morgue. You will remain visible to provide a reassuring presence, interact with staff and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by performing security-related screening procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.

+ Greet and interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner while conducting screening processes.

+ Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Document and report any unusual activity or incidents encountered during screening duties to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist with emergency response activities as needed, based on the needs of the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ Experience working in a hospital morgue environment is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
