Reporting Data Lead

The Reporting Data Lead will be responsible for defining and delivering reporting and analytics capabilities within the MDM Product Platform, supporting systems such as VA Profile, VADIR/VIS, and HDR. This role ensures that reporting solutions are accurate, scalable, and compliant, enabling actionable insights for complex Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. The Reporting Data Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product Managers, Technical Analysts, Development Scrum Teams, and Data Hydration—to integrate reporting requirements into MDM solutions and drive data-driven decision-making.
Reporting Strategy & Architecture
+ Define and implement reporting and analytics strategies for MDM systems.
+ Ensure reporting solutions align with MDM data models, compliance standards (e. . , HIPAA), and VA governance policies.
Data Pipeline & Integration Oversight
+ Lead the design and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines to support reporting needs.
+ Coordinate with Data Hydration Team for data sourcing and enrichment.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation
+ Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Analysts, and Customer Success teams to capture reporting requirements.
+ Translate business needs into technical specifications for dashboards, reports, and analytics.
Solution Design & Prototyping
+ Oversee creation of reporting prototypes and validate data flows with Development Scrum Teams.
+ Ensure reporting solutions support performance, scalability, and compliance.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
+ Provide technical leadership to reporting developers and analysts.
+ Partner with Shared Service DevOps & Quality Team to implement CI/CD for reporting solutions.
Risk & Dependency Management
+ Identify and mitigate risks related to data availability, integration, and compliance.
+ Coordinate with Release Train Engineer (RTE) to align reporting deliverables with Agile Release Train schedules.
Agile Delivery Support
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure reporting tasks are prioritized and delivered on time.
+ Maintain transparency through shared tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
+ 5+ years in data engineering, reporting, or analytics leadership roles.
+ Strong experience with SQL, ETL tools, and reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Skills:
+ Expertise in data modeling, reporting architecture, and performance optimization.
+ Strong leadership and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage complex initiatives across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with VA systems or healthcare data platforms.
+ Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, VA security standards).
+ Familiarity with cloud technologies and CI/CD practices.
+ Base Pay Range: $160,000
+ Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation
+ All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
