    The candidate will work on pro­gram sustainment and moderniza­tion efforts spanning the product life­cycle, including customer engage­ment, requirements definition, software/hardware development & integration, as system test & valida­tion as well as deployment & mainte­nance.

     

    The candidate will work closely with the program team engaging en­gineers from systems, software, cy­bersecurity, and infrastructure to en­sure the product delivery to the cus­tomer and end users is done with minimal impact to the operational ex­ecution.

    What You Will Do:

    + Perform software engineering ac­tivities including but not limited to application development and mainte­nance, testing, integration, and docu­mentation to ensure proper operation of the product within both factory en­vironment.

    + Adhere to accepted standards and processes for development, in­cluding participating in peer reviews, maintaining test environments & cov­erage, providing feedback for product improvements as well as working to ensure consistency in quality and performance.

    + Will be working with the team sup­porting one of the program Product Owners executing the different facets of the program: sustainment and/or modernization.

    + Will work within the Engineering Team to ensure the overall system execution is reliable, maintainable, and deployable while always meeting operational performance.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

    + U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. ​

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Java experience

    + Unit experience

    + Configuration Management expe­rience

    + Experience using Agile method­ologies.

    + Experience with Atlassian/Jira toolset for task management.

    + Willingness to learn and engage with team.Experience using continuous inte­gration tools.

    + Linux command line, shell or python scripting

    + Experience with Test Driven Development

    + Elastic Stack experience(Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Log stash)

    + Problem-solving and analytical skills

    + Maven experience

    + Git experience

    + Automation tool solution experi­ence (i.e. Ansible, puppet, or chef)

    + OpenShift/Kubernetes experience

    + Experience with Selenium

    + Experience with installing, config­uring, integrating, troubleshooting, maintaining FOSS applications.

    + RHEL certification

    + Security+ certification

    The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
