Collins Aerospace is seeking a **Senior Quality Engineer** to support our Waste Water products for commercial and business jet platforms within the Interiors business in Everett, WA. In this highly visible role, you’ll serve as a quality leader across manufacturing and development, ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer outcomes.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, site leadership, and customers to drive quality performance, lead critical MRB activities, and support Program Management Team (PMT) and customer engagements. What You Will Do
+ Lead and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
+ Develop, apply, and continuously improve quality systems, controls, and documentation to meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
+ Analyze quality data to drive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction and prevent customer escapes.
+ Manage escape investigations, coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances and implement sustainable solutions.
+ Partner with operations, inspection, engineering, and program teams to ensure product conformance and effective change implementation.
+ Support PMT and customer meetings, maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to quality scorecard performance.
+ Apply PPAP core tools (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans) to identify and mitigate product and process risk.
+ Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
+ Evaluate and support engineering change orders and new inspection methods or technologies.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience _or_ Advanced degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Experience with MRB and structured root cause analysis highly preferred
+ Six Sigma / Lean process improvement experience (Green Belt preferred)
+ Working knowledge of AS9100
+ Experience with SAP
+ Experience interfacing directly with customers
+ Knowledge of measurement equipment and techniques (e.g., FARO, calipers, pin gauges)
+ Experience in Aerospace ideal, but not required
+ Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Role Type Definition:
**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
