About the Role:
As a CBRE Product Manager – Data, you will act as a team leader and operational product lead for the CBRE Insights data initiatives, with an emphasis on the development and deployment of our semantic layer. As the demand for trusted, scalable analytics and AI-ready data accelerates among our clients, this role will be instrumental in building a robust, governed data foundation that will serve as the single source of truth for reporting, analytics, and AI-driven applications.
The role will be a key contributor to our data strategy and products, instrumental in planning, creating, and maintaining feature level roadmaps that realize the business priorities, working closely with our engineering partners to guide them on the feasibility of those plans through a thorough understanding of the technical capabilities and needs of those features. The role will be responsible for defining solutions, developing requirements, and working in an agile fashion to help deliver enterprise scale solutions.
In addition to planning, the Product Manager – Data will be responsible for the successful execution and optimization of data and semantic products, including deployment to clients and ensuring readiness for AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, semantic modeling, and data governance, along with a track record of delivering scalable, client-facing data solutions.
What You’ll Do:
+ Work closely with product owners and key stakeholders to develop and implement product roadmap for assigned products, ensuring alignment with client needs and desired business outcomes.
+ Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a scalable, enterprise-wide semantic layer to enable consistent, accurate, and accessible analytics, reporting, and AI applications.
+ Act as player coach to drive the deployment and optimization of semantic models for client-facing deliverables, ensuring they are designed for both immediate reporting needs and future AI integration.
+ Ensure that all data solutions and semantic models are architected with scalability, reliability, and high performance to support growing data volumes and diverse analytic workloads.
+ Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams (including client leads, data engineers, and data scientists) to gather requirements and deliver tailored, impactful data solutions.
+ Enable knowledge graph and AI initiatives by ensuring semantic models are structured for easy integration with knowledge graph architectures and are optimized for AI-powered applications (such as AI Chat or NLP).
+ Apply broad knowledge of data management and business drivers to solve complex operational challenges, improve processes, and deliver value to clients.
+ Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
+ Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
+ Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
+ Work within broad guidelines and policies.
+ Explain difficult or sensitive information.
