    12797BRJob Description:The Welder Fabricator will be a core component for our workforce as one the of world’s largest steel producers. The Welder Fabricator must be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans. The Welder Fabricator will use the blueprints along with other data, such as work plans, to develop and design their welding projects. Fabrication involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding metals to create the desired shape of object. For this highly detailed work this requires the Welder Fabricator to be knowledgeable of many techniques and tools. Welder Fabricator must be capable of learning to operate a press brake and rolls.

    Preferred candidates will have knowledge and/or experience in the following areas:

    + Using a variety of tools and equipment

    + Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude

    + Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications

    + Knowledge of industry safety procedures

    + Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as MAIG and ARC

    + Ability to use heavy machinery, such as press brake and plate bending roll machine

    + Pass a written and hands on test

    In addition to the above skills, the successful candidate will be able to complete the tasks detailed below:

    + Operating mobile equipment

    + Knowledge and skills related to rigging

    + Ability to demonstrate welding, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic mechanical skills

    + Working knowledge of basic motors, circuitry, and low voltage

    Other Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + The position requires rotating shift work, which will include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays

    + The position requires overtime work as needed

    + Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times
