    13732BRJob Description:This full-time position will support our Minnesota Ore Operations facilities of Minntac and Keetac MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and Training Departments. The primary duty of this position involves overseeing management processes including serving as the Leave Administrator and acting as the main contact for the state's Paid Leave Program, which entails acting as the liaison with the state's Paid Leave agency (DEED). In addition, the successful candidate will learn the duties entailed in the various ER/LR/Training functions within the department. This position will report to the Senior Manager - Employee & Labor Relations. The salary range of $58,686 to $88,028 is a good faith estimate. Based on candidate skills/experience the final offer may be lower/higher.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    LEAVE ADMINISTRATOR DUTIES:

    + Oversee absence management processes, including various leave of absences in accordance with a collective bargaining agreement.

    + Manage employee leave requests by reviewing applications and determinations, responding to requests for information from the Paid Leave division, and handling compliance primarily through the State of MN leave portal ensuring reporting requirements are met.

    + Post and provide program and employee notices.

    + Report program integrity issues through the use of the portal.

    + Serve as the key link between the employer's internal processes and the state's Paid Leave system, ensuring seamless benefit administration for employees while maintaining Company compliance.

    + Work closely with management and employees on leave requests and information sharing.​​​​​​​

    EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, LABOR RELATIONS, AND TRAINING DUTIES:

    + Provide process expertise to business leaders.

    + Facilitate change efforts and seek out ways to increase organizational effectiveness.

    + Assist with the administration of all aspects of ER, policy administration, and communications for the client groups.

    + Support ER Core processes including recruitment/selection, performance management, succession planning/talent management, reward and recognition, training, career development, communications, etc.

    + Learn and understand the mining process to better understand recruiting needs.

    + Support the development of strategies to assess employee engagement and analyze retention trends.

    + Assist in maintaining and updating the Human Resources Information System, Labor Relations Information System, and the Learning Management System.

    + Assist with the administration and learn the concepts of grievance handling, progressive discipline, and arbitration preparation.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Labor Relations or Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related degree received within the last 3 years.

    + Excellent communication, time management, facilitation, problem solving, and organizational skills.

    + Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Ability to work independently and with a team.

    + Excellent interpersonal and influential skills.

    + Ability to focus on strategy execution.

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    + < 3 years of HR/LR or legal experience with a proven track record of delivering results in a complex and fast-paced business environment.

    + PHR/SPHR certification.
