    What You'll Be Doing

    + Operate and maintain roof bolting equipment to ensure accurate measurements and requirements

    + Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

    + Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.

    + Ability to operate and troubleshoot bolting/scaling equipment.

    + Capability to perform routine maintenance tasks.

    + Must be able to work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies

    + Must be able and willing to work in an underground limestone mine environment with room heights of 27 feet tall and a year-round temperature of 50-60 degrees

    + Must be able to operate scaling/bolting equipment safely and efficiently in a tight, underground environment

    + Must be able to conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment

    + Must be able to visually evaluate roof and rib conditions

    + Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic

    + Available to work Saturdays and overtime as business demands dictate

    + Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work

    + Must perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies

    + Other job duties as assigned

    Conditions of Employment

    + Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

    + Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

    Work Environment

    + Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
