    Position Description:

    Performs skilled mechanical and/or analytical duties in the coordination and completion of projects. Work is performed under general guidelines using established procedures and evaluated on results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees.

    Major/Essential Functions:

    + Assists in the preparation and storage of all cadaver material, as well as cadaver placement and movement.

    + Prepares all medical education gross anatomy teaching labs for all laboratory and research sessions. May assist in other basic science and anatomy lab sessions as directed.

    + Sets up demonstrations, models, prosections and runs pre-experiments to completion prior to all student demonstrations and teaching lab sessions.

    + Properly clean, sterilize, maintain, handle, utilize, and dispose of lab equipment, instruments, and supplies.

    + Assists Anatomy Lab Director and Faculty in supervision and training of tutors and students during lab and research sessions. Also assists lab users from other departments as well as vendors.

    + Monitors inventory levels to assist Anatomy Director in purchasing all chemicals, supplies, and equipment for the gross anatomy labs.

    + Serves as official anatomy lab photographer

    + Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position.

    + Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

    + Personally demonstrate, display and act in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serve as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.

    + Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Prefer Bachelors degree in basic science

    + Applicant should be familiar with basic laboratory procedures, aseptic technique, general lab equipment and maintenance, as well as the proper storage and preservation of cadavers and chemicals.

    + Must be able to work as part of a teaching team in the laboratories and show initiative in learning new concepts.

    + Should be adaptable with a high ability to multi-task.
