    Summary Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner This position is three 12-hour shifts / 36 hours weekly, with a rotating 4-hour shift on Saturday. The Advanced Practice Practitioner shall provide necessary and appropriate urgent care services, within the scope of their training and experience. Responsibilities and expectations to include the following:

     

    • Provides care to patients across all age groups • Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.) • Foreign body removal • Laceration repair, Suturing skills • Abscess I & D • Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures • DOT Certification required • Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter’s physical, etc.) preferred • Epic EMR experience a plus • Worker’s Comp Experience preferred

     

    Qualifications • Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure • Minimum 3 years’ post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination • Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program
