    Job Description:

    _The Shipping and Receiving Clerk_ _l_ _is responsible_ _for verifying,_ _loading and unloading both incoming and outgoing_ _shipments_ _._

     

    _Additionally, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk_ _move_ _s_ _, store_ _s_ _and distribute_ _s materials throughout the facility_ _, and process_ _es_ _all paperwork associated with these shipments_ _within and outside of_ _the_ _ERP_ _system._

     

    _This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time._

    Duties and Responsibilities

    + Prepare, load and unload incomingreceiptsand outgoing shipments utilizing various material handling equipment

    + Ensure incoming and outgoing materials are properly identified and accountedfor

    + Create associatedpaperwork (ie: Bill of Landing, packing lists and other shipmentdocuments)

    + Accurately input, verify, and process incoming receipts and outgoing shipments in theERPsystem

    + Receive and distribute all incoming materials and packages, consolidating SKUs to best utilize space without jeopardizing safety and quality

    + Safely operate a variety of material handling equipment. Complete daily checklist for forklift equipmentused

    + Cross train and back up co-workers as required

    Education, Skills, and Experience

    + High Schooldiplomaor equivalentrequired

    + Must have the ability to read/write, add and subtract whole numbers, and basic math skills using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers

    + 6 months experience in shipping and receiving (preferably in a manufacturing environment)

    + Forklift certificationrequired

    + Basic computer skillsrequired

    + Able to work in a fast-paced working environment and react to change effectively
