Position Title: **New Hire**
Pay Rate: $21.91/hr.
Shift: Determined based on business needs. We have three shifts:
First: 7am to 3pm
Second: 3pm to 11pm
Third: 11pm to 7am
Hourly Full-Time

The Job You Will Perform:
International Paper’s Lynchburg Container Plant is a manufacturer of corrugated packaging. This position will assist operators in processing corrugated sheets according to written specifications/diagrams and prepares product for the next operation. You will abide by safe working practices and policies, work safely, and wear necessary personal protective equipment. You will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment test, drug screen, health assessment and background check.
The Skills You Will Bring:
+ At least 6 months of manufacturing experience
+ Ability to work first shift (7am – 3pm), second shift (3pm – 11pm), or third shift (11pm – 7am) with overtime. Shift will be determined based on business needs.
+ Ability to work cooperatively with peers and supervisors, a good attitude and willingness to learn
+ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
+ Able to lift and mount print plates, cutting dies and ink buckets weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Must be able to safely use wrenches for setting pull collars and slotting/scoring heads.
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with no air conditioning or heat
+ Constant standing, walking and reaching at or below shoulder level, frequent twisting, bending and lifting from the ground, repetitive lifting up to 20-50 pounds
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
+ Able to extract and input data via computer and perform and record accurate reading of measurements
