    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Manager of Sustaining Engineering** to lead our cross-functional hardware and software teams in supporting and enhancing existing products. This role is critical to ensuring product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and a passion for continuous improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Team Leadership & Development**

    + Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers.

    + Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

    + Support career development and performance management.

    + Provide guidance on complex technical issues across HW and SW domains.

    + Stay current with industry trends and technologies relevant to sustaining engineering.

    + **Sustaining Engineering Oversight**

    + Manage day-to-day sustaining activities including issue resolution, product updates, and lifecycle support.

    + Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues and manufacturing defects.

    + Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer and internal escalations.

    + Effectively prioritize engineering work by balancing customer needs and business objectives

    + Manages material budgets and forecasts spend to support priority sustainment activities.

    + Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to align on LTB/LTO opportunities, ensuring cost targets are met

    + Provides routine updates to the leadership team on Sustaining project status

    + **Cross-Functional Collaboration**

    + Partner with Product Lines, Quality, Global Operations, and Supply Chain to align priorities, achieve results, and support product lifecycle management.

    + Coordinate with the PMO and NPI teams to ensure smooth transitions and knowledge transfer as products move into Sustainment.

    + Familiarity with LTB/LTO processes and their impact on sustaining engineering and supply chain planning

    + Collaboration with functional managers to prioritize shared resource and align on resource allocation as needed

    + **Process & Continuous Improvement**

    + Develop and implement best practices for sustaining engineering processes.

    + Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

    + Demonstrate an RBS mindset to drive continuous improvement

    + Strong working knowledge of VAVE

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or related field); Master’s preferred.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of driving root cause analysis and resolution.

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

    + At least 7 years of experience in Engineering functions

    Preferred Skills

    + Familiarity with Agile methodologies

    + Knowledge of operations, reliability engineering and failure analysis techniques.

    Bonus or Equity

     

    This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

    Pay Range

    The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,200.00 - 150,800.00
